Day 036: Wood Stork Hospital Bird

In Europe storks are looked upon as good luck, and people hope that these birds will nest upon their roofs. Throughout western civilization the stork is often identified with delivering new babies to happy families. Given I am unexpectedly down in Florida dealing with my Dad’s surgery, it seems appropriate I found this Wood Stork to photograph outside the hospital in a nearby pond while I was taking a quick break. I hope the stork is bringing my family good luck.

  1. Dear Rich and Molly,
This is a great picture. Well done! Hope your Dad is feeling better. I skied Lester yesterday a.m. and drove past your home. All looked well. Greg
