Sunflowers at Sunrise!

I have fallen behind since getting home from the lighthouse, but wanted to get this post out quickly. Visit your local sunflower patch while the flowers at their peak! Here in northeastern Minnesota near Duluth, my favorite humble sunflower field is MK3 Hardwood Farms (facebook link). Yesterday Molly and I took two of our teenaged grandchildren to this farm not to long after sunrise. Yes … we actually managed to get two teenages up early with the sun!  🙂

Anyhow, the sunflowers are at their peak right now for viewing (enjoy the maze). Within a week or so the birds should get much more interested as the flowers mature. This year, we arrived early enough to insure we were the only visitors which allowed me to  fly my drone without bothering anyone else. Enjoy my images and visit!

  1. Great sunflower drone photo! I didn’t realize sunflowers could grow in the north country….global warming? Growing season in mid-Minnesota 30 days longer than in 1970? I will review your drone flight with 365-follower and drone pilot Tom Connors. He loves this stuff!
