Time Off to Recover.

365 Days of Birds will be taking a short break for a week or two. I need to recover from yesterday’s surgery, which went very well.

Last night we had one of our bears visit the feeders. After 15 minutes of watching “junior bear” (not our HUGE mamma this time), I went back to reading. The bear stuck around for another 10 minutes. Enjoy September and the birds. It’s a lovely day here in northern Minnesota.

  1. Dear Rich, I hope your recovery goes well. It’s a beautiful September day to be outside with a good book. BTW we have been listening to lots of hooting by a great horned owl lately. Just after 9:30 pm, then around 2 am and this morning around 5:25 am. It’s so lovely to hear. Take care and thanks for all you do to keep us informed about the birds!

    1. Yes! Great Horned Owls are already back on their prime territory … making a claim nearby nesting next February. My owls are also.hooting
