365 Days of Birds 10th Anniversary Hashmarks

Welcome to the 10th anniversary of my website, 365 Days of Birds (January 2024). I created this website and blog back in January of 2014. My desire was then, and still is now, to help folks learn more about birding the Northland (learn more about this site). During this journey through time I have become a better wildlife / bird photographer. My focus during the first year required me (my rule) no matter what the conditions or weather to always post a least one photograph related to birds. Here is my very first post from January 2014!

I thought of repeating my 365 day effort in 2024, but after some reflection I realized I have moved on from that journey. Thus, my idea for my anniversary year in 2024 is to have image hashtag themes for each month. I will try to take photographs which fit each theme (not every day) and use the noted hashtags. However, anyone else including all of you readers of my blog may also participate, take photographs and use each unique hashtag! Thus, this will be a community experience! This page will be updated throughout the course of 2024 with Google Searches linked from the hashtags given below. Thus, assuming anyone who uses these hashtags and then links them on a publically viewable page on the internet, Google should fine them!

My posts will also be linked via my Blog Post Tags.

Here are the image hashtags for 2024:

My signature bird for this blog is the Northern Hawk Owl. The image used in the header was a Northern Hawk Owl I discovered on Jean Duluth Road just outside of Duluth during year 1. The image shown below is from early winter during my 10th year. Learn more about me, Rich Hoeg.
