Day 257: Pigeon Monster

A pigeon with an attitude! As we were waiting for our train at the Amtrak station, and knowing we would be on the train all day long I needed to find an “urban bird”. The pigeons at the station did not let me down!

Day 256: The Red Tail of a Hawk!

Are bike tour is at end and we are staying with friends in Seattle. This morning after breakfast this red-tailed hawk greeted us atop a tall pine tree. As it flew away, screaming back at me, it displayed the red tail for which it is famous!

Days 245 to 255: Birds of the Oregon & Washington Coasts

Our long bike tour continues which started near Glacier National Park. After going as far south as Eugene, Oregon to visit my brother we have now reached the Pacific Coast and turned north towards Seattle. You may learn about our bicycle travels via my trip diary found upon the Crazy Guy on a Bike Portal. Here are the birds photographed while biking up the coast.
