Even though the light was not perfect (middle of day with reflective light off the water), I could not resist photographing Huckleberry Heron! After all, it’s not every day that one sees and takes a picture of a great blue heron rafting down the river! Yes, this heron was slowly drifting down the St. Louis River just before it joins the Duluth Harbor off Lake Superior.
