2019 Northern Magic Calendar

2019 Northern Magic Calendars!

Price = $15 (includes shipping and Minnesota Sales Tax)

Use this linked web form to input your order. Calendars should arrive by December 1st. Printed calendar  images will not have a watermark.

Remember my beginning reader book about the adventure of Hairy, the Hairy Woodpecker is also available.  The Book’s title is: But That Is Not Me! The price is $12.

Both the calendar and the book are break even propositions.  I have created both because of my love for the outdoors. As we head into the 2018 Holiday Season, both of these would make excellent gifts and help me share the majesty of nature. The calendar is a very “limited run in terms of numbers”. Last year it sold out very fast. 30 of the 50 I have printed are already spoken for as I type this post.

200k of Web Views Celebration!

Sometime overnight … you … my readers … read your 200,000th page on this blog. When I started this web site a bit under five years ago, I never expected this response. While I understand imagery is the driving force behind my posts, it takes a much higher level of commitment to read blog posts and comment. Thank you!

Expanding upon my thanks, I would like to offer a free PDF eBook version of my beginning reader children’s book (Susan Larson-Kidd … author and co-creator). This book (almost 1,000 sold) retails on Amazon for  $12. Thus, this offer truly is a “giveaway”. To learn more about my book, and discover Birding With Children ideas including projects and school curriculum, browse to that section on my web site.

In our book your special child will enjoy the adventures of “Harry” the Hairy Woodpecker as he visits his northern sky forest friends.

Duck … Duck … Duck … Goose!

Here in Minnesota we play Duck, Duck, Duck … Goose! Apparently some of you misinformed people in this world play Duck, Duck, Duck, Gray Duck! Sad, you really need to learn how to play this children’s game!

Having expressed my knowledge, I will note that I have updated the Birding With Children web page which is part of this site. The page now includes curriculum and resources focused upon teaching children about birds (towards the bottom of the linked page). Better yet, within a few weeks I will publish a new beginning children’s reader’s book, Hey There Mr. Owl! Stay tuned.

Here are screenshots of the tentative front and back covers …

Oh yes … Goose, or Snow Goose! (image  taken yesterday near Castle Danger)
