Day 121: Morning Merganser Reflections (photos)

Lake Superior was dead calm this morning, which is an unusual occurrence. The next out of the ordinary event was a common merganser and red-necked grebe becoming swimming partners. This dynamic duo made for a different, but fun photo op! Thus, morning reflections! I’ve also included two other photos from my morning outing.

Day 120: Golden Hour Warblers

Yippee! Spring must finally be here. The warblers are back to the northwoods. For the moment we will all agree to ignore the remaining ice in Lake Superior and enjoy the flashes of color one may find now in the wetlands and forest. This morning I visited Hartley Nature Center and found tons of warblers having a morning bug breakfast. Fun time!

Day 119: Wedding Bird Bouquet!

Today is my 31st wedding anniversary! Molly has been a great friend, supporter and love through all these years which included raising our three great kids: Karen, Carl and Erik. What could be better for this day than to search for “birds of color” and create a “wedding bouquet collage”?!
